Spanish Language Arts Curriculum

Below is a listing of the MoraModules to aid teachers in planning and implementing a Spanish Language Arts Curriculum and Word Study program for the elementary grades. These modules are provided especially for biliteracy teachers in dual language programs. The lessons are designed to be used directly in the classroom with bilingual learners, but also provide examples for teacher candidates and inservice teachers of approaches, strategies and content for teaching initial and developing Spanish reading and writing.  Modules include a PowerPoint presentation and a quiz or quizzes. Related modules with theoretical and pedagogical information are linked to each lesson. Many related foundational background modules are currently available only in English.

The focus of the selection of points of Spanish grammar is on forms that are challenging to native English speakers learning Spanish as a second or foreign language and Spanish as a Heritage Language students studying contrastive English/Spanish linguistics.
